What books do other libraries have?

WorldCat is a database that tells you what books and other materials can be found in libraries worldwide. WorldCat is useful for finding books that LCCC's library does not have. To borrow one of these books, complete an Interlibrary Loan form, below.

To check only libraries in Pennsylvania, go to Access Pennsylvania statewide - school, public, academic, & special or selected Pennsylvania colleges and universities.

Borrow a Book from Another Library

If LCCC's library does not own the book or periodical article you want, we will try to obtain it for you from another library through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Please check for the availability of the book or periodical article in LCCC's library collection before submitting an ILL form.

Students will be notified in their LCCC student email or by phone when the book or photocopy arrives. It may be picked up at the Schnecksville library upper level Service Desk unless you indicated an alternate pickup location field on your request form. Some photocopied articles will be sent directly to your LCCC email.

There is a limit of 10 requests in process at the same time for students.

Generally, books from Pennsylvania libraries usually arrive in 2 to 7 days; out-of-state books take longer. Articles often arrive as electronic documents within 1 to 4 days.  Postal delivery of articles adds a few more days. Allow enough time for your research needs since some books might take 3 weeks to arrive. The peak demand time for ILL requests is in the middle of each semester, so plan ahead during this time.
