My article isn't full-text! Now what?

HOW TO FIND THE FULL-TEXT OF AN ARTICLE WHEN YOU HAVE ONLY ITS CITATION

·          Is the article full text in another database or in the library’s paper collection?

Go to the library’s website, click on START YOUR RESEARCH HERE, and then click on Full Text Periodicals: E & Print.

·          Is it on the Internet?

Use a search engine such as Google to locate the publisher’s website.

It might be easier to find on the Internet if you know the periodical’s ISSN. This can often be found with an article’s citation and abstract.

·          Is there time to order it through Interlibrary Loan?

If you can wait 3-21 days for it, go to the library’s website and click on Interlibrary Loan.

·          Can I photocopy it at a hospital or other college library?

Go to the library’s website and click on Catalogs of Other Libraries.

See the LVH periodicals list at the Service Desk or Information Desk.

·          Can a librarian help me revise my search?

See a librarian in person.

Go to the library’s website and click on Ask a Librarian.
